During the early morning hours of February 1, 2022, the illness and addiction that had stolen Megan Leigh Butts' sparkle took her life. Her friends and family will remember her for the intelligent, kind, and funny young woman that she was. Megan was born on January 14, 1987, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was the second twin daughter of Ronald Eugene Butts and LeAnn Dwiggins Baldy. Megan spent her childhood and teenage years growing up in White Hall, Arkansas. Megan spent her time running around the park and the woods, as well as playing with friends all while being involved in clubs, sports, and academics at school. Megan attended school in the White Hall School District, where she graduated 10th in her class, with honors, at her graduation in 2005. She went on to attend college at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas, and finished her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at University of Central Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. She also obtained her Master's Degree in Medical Dosimetry at Oklahoma University's Health Science Center campus in Oklahoma City. She worked in Medical Dosimetry at several facilities in Oklahoma City, and in Little Rock and Russellville, Arkansas. Megan struggled in the years following her father's death, and she ultimately fell victim to the false sense of security and happiness that addiction provides. She gave birth to a beautiful son in October 2021. Megan wanted nothing more than to be a good mother to her baby boy, Dean. Despite her best wishes and efforts, addiction took her life in an accidental overdose. Megan was preceded in death by her father, her "person", Ronald Eugene Butts. She is survived by her son, Dean Renshaw of Oklahoma City, by her twin sister Rachel Mary Eudey and husband Trent Eudey of Oklahoma City, and mother LeAnn Baldy and her husband Terry Baldy of North Little Rock.
